Ramparts I: Ruined Castles

Ramparts I: Ruined Castles returns ten ruined medieval castles to their full glory through the medium of physically modelled impulse responses. It contains over 80 impulse recordings, including individual left and right stereo files, combined stereo files, and true stereo quad files. It provides both front and rear microphone positions allowing you to make full use of almost any high quality surround sound convolution reverb application or plugin.

Using proprietary physical modelling synthesis software we are able to create highly realistic impulse responses of spaces that no longer exist. We studied floor plans, descriptions, maps, and photographs of ten ruined medieval castles from around the UK and crafted synthesised models, restoring the buildings to their original design.
